Dynamics of the Self – A Night of Art, Light, and Music in Istanbul

In April 2022, I had the honor of exhibiting my work alongside talented artists Metin Toplu and Lisa Boiur at Dynamics of the Self, a vibrant event presented by Psydefects at Eylyl Sahnesi in Kadikoy, Istanbul. This underground theater transformed into a hub of creativity, where art, music, and visuals intertwined for an unforgettable night.

Metin and Lisa, both collage artists, brought their unique visions to life while I displayed three of my watercolor pieces: The Life Within I & II and The Gate. These works, reflecting themes of inner growth and transformation, resonated with the theme of the evening—exploring the depths of the self.

The night was enriched by stunning visual projections from Ordinaire.x and a mesmerizing light show by Psyddduck, creating a dynamic, immersive atmosphere. The music line-up, featuring ALAL, REKK, and SARPT, provided the perfect soundtrack to this sensory experience, filling the space with deep, rhythmic beats as people wandered through the art displays.

It was a night to remember, filled with beautiful souls who came to experience art in its many forms. There was an electric energy in the air, fueled by the creativity and passion of everyone involved. The underground theater buzzed with life as we shared our works and celebrated the joy of artistic expression.

For me, exhibiting my watercolor pieces in this dynamic setting was both humbling and exhilarating, surrounded by fellow artists and a community that embraced the power of art. I left the event inspired, energized, and grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many like-minded individuals.
